Regular Meeting 

The speaker this week was Margo Wood with Maine Works. She has an interesting background on how she came to opening Maine Works. Maine Works will only hire people that are felons. They are helped to find jobs, usually in the construction field. They are given a ride to work and home again. FMI you can go to https://www.maineworks.us

Toys for Tots is still looking for a storage facility. All the toys have been moved to Bangor Savings, but it is very small.  

Scottish Festival is on June 3rd. Please arrive at 8 a.m. Dennis will have yellow vests to wear for visibility. More people will be needed in the morning.  

Corvette weekend is on June 10th. It will be over at 4:00. 

Memorial Day parade. Is anyone interested in participating? Dennis does need to let Kim know and to buy more candy. 

Polio Plus contributions can be made online and automatically.  

The club will be giving out a $250.00 scholarship to any graduating senior at OOBHS. The critieria is that student must show leadership and community service and write why they should receive the scholarship. The OOBHS Scholarship Selection Committee will select the student and will get back to the club with their decision. Any student is eligible. 

Carol thanked everyone that attended brunch with the Ukranian delegates. Leo invited his son Leo III. He was a great help with renewable energy questions. 

The district is having an online fundraising auction. The club a basket from Beachology with items donated from local merchants. 

Scott had an idea for a grant for a playground at Sweetser.   

Scott has chosen the following for next year's positions; President – Scott, President Elect – Christina, Vice President – TBD, Secretary – Tina, Treasurer – Dennis, Membership Chair – TBD, Foundation/Global Grant chairs – Carol, Public Image – Liz with Stephanie being another option (she is interested in joining the club), Protection Officer – Scott M. 

On the 5th Tuesday of the month the club will be touring Sweetser, May 30th at 6:30. 

Carolyn Johnson will be our speaker on June 13 talking about the Uganda grant.
