GUEST SPEAKER DAN DARIGAN FROM LIVING INNOVATIONS
(information taken from their website)
For 23 years Living Innovations has partnered with thousands of families in New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead good lives at home and in their communities with innovative programming and services.
That integration has come in many forms since Living Innovations was founded by Neal Ouellett, who has devoted 40+ years of his professional life to the field of human services. We pride ourselves on creating the right plan for each individual we serve.
For some of our individuals, we have helped them find opportunities for Shared Living, which is based on carefully matching a person in need of support with a host family in a natural home, as opposed to a shift-staffed or institutional environment. Why is that important? One of our core values is: Putting people first. And we believe everyone should have an equal opportunity to experience all that life has to offer. For others, we have reinforced and provided opportunities to help them participate in educational, social and employment opportunities. In our Community Support Program, all activities are geared to meet the specific needs, desires and interests of the participants. The goal is to enhance their health, safety and independent living skills.
As we have grown, we have had the ability to offer additional services to meet the burgeoning needs of the individuals and families we are privileged to work with. The full list may be found at https://livinginnovations.com
In ever-changing times, we remain resolute in the commitment to our mission: Living Innovations provides support to people of all ages and abilities to have a good life at home and in the community.
