The Rotary Club of
Saco Bay Sunset

Thanks! To Jeff Slaton for speaking to our group about the Rotary's work with Polio.  We are so close to eradicating this horrid disease.  If you are interested in more information about how you can help, please look for Jeff's newsletter in the District Newsletter every month.

Three-Club Collaboration  Please save the date of January 8th for our big Three-Club Collaboration meeting at Cabella's in Scarborough.  We are hoping to get a large turn out from all three clubs (Saco Bay Sunset, Scarborough, and Falmouth) along with any friends, family or colleagues that might be interested in join one of our clubs.  The Saco Bay Rotary will be hosting the next meeting in March.

Tree Sales  Thank you to all the Saco Bay Sunset members that have helped Scarborough Rotary with their tree sales.  They have reported only about 29 more trees left for sale.  Remember that, because of our help, the Scarborough group will be giving us a "donation" of $500 that will allow us to create some type of event or fellowship that will hopefully bring our two groups together.  Due to the low number of trees left, please know that they might not need volunteers on this Sunday.

Toys For Tots  Bravo to Tina and Leo for their AMAZING work with the Toys For Tots program.  Thank you to all of the Saco Bay Sunset (and OOB Interact) for your volunteering your time to make this huge event a success again this year.

Wreaths Across America  We shared how nice it was to be able to purchase mini American flags to all the students and staff at Jameson School for the Wreaths Across America event on December 10th.  Props to Chase Walker for speaking at the event and receiving special recognition from the founder of the Wreaths program.

PARTY!!  Our next meeting will take place at Dennis' home so we can celebrate the holiday season.  The date will be December 27th and details will follow...

As you can see we have done some UNBELIEVABLE things in the last few months and we have plenty of events coming up...  Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to lead something up!!

Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
Our 1.2 million-member organization started with the vision of one man—Paul P. Harris. The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member.
